On January 11, 2024 , in Nashik , Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur, held a press conference to provide insights into the upcoming 27th National Youth Festival featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Youth Day .
Thakur announced , ” Celebrating the 161st birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the National Youth Festival is slated to take place in Nashik on January 12 . This sacred city will serve as a gathering ground for youth from all corners of the nation, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the esteemed chief guest. The event is expected to attract over a hundred thousand youths, joined by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and various ministers from Maharashtra. The theme for tomorrow’s gathering is ‘For the Youth, By the Youth , ‘ with the anticipation that the youth will collectively commit to contributing to India’s development, aiming for the goal of a developed nation by 2047 .”
Expanding on the details , Anurag Thakur shared , ” During the event, the Prime Minister will address the youth directly in Nashik, and simultaneous live conferences will be arranged in more than 750 districts nationwide, ensuring the active participation of youth from every corner of the country . Additionally , significant events associated with the Youth Festival will be organized in schools and colleges throughout the nation.” This widespread engagement aims to foster a sense of unity and commitment among the youth towards the collective goal of India’s progress .
